Lexorbi Immigration Services is a boutique Costa Rica specialty law firm for immigration and residency services for more than ten years.

We provide legal service for individuals and companies to obtain legal residency in Costa Rica for themselves, employees, and families.

We commit to our clients that we will explain clearly the immigration process and then present their application for the appropriate type of residency. We will be by your side until the process is complete and you have received your residency.

What types of legal residencies are available in Costa Rica?
Temporary Resident: An authorization to remain in Costa Rica for a limited period. This residency is normally used for temporary employment???? when receiving payment from another country, and for dependents of a person who has obtained residency. Residencia temporal: Es una autorización de permanencia en Costa Rica por un tiempo limitado. Generalmente está relacionada con una necesidad laboral o para los dependientes de una persona que ya sea titular de una residencia.
Permanent Resident: A permanent resident may remain in Costa Rica permanently. The rsidency must be renewed every three years but is a simple process you can complete without legal assistance.
Tourist Visa Extension: Extend the limit of time permitted when you enter as a tourist )as entered in your passport when you enter Costa Rica).
Long Stay: Permission to remain in Costa Rica for longer stays, from 6 to 12 months. Does not authorize paid employment in Costa Rica.
Special Categories: Regularizes the migratory situation of temporary workers, workers with specific occupation, business visitors, students, researchers, teachers, volunteers, artists, athletes and workers in projects of public interest.
What are the categories for company registration in Immigration?
There are seven categories under which a company can register to obtain working permits for employees and owners:
Classification A: Companies engaged in or iniciating production or operations specializing in export
Classification B: Companies exporting goods or services outside of special export promotion regimes or carrying out research and development activities.
Classification C Companies that are operating in the tourism sector in Costa Rica.
Classification D: Companies that are operating in the financial world in Costa Rica.
Classification E:Companies that are in the process of installation or are operating in the telecommunications area in Costa Rica.
Classification F: Companies which are not covered in any of the previous classifications, generally an international company setting up a subsidiary in Costa Rica.
Classification G:Companies, both foreign and domestic, which are operating or are going to start operating in Costa Rica and have been awarded a public contract.
